False Alarm! Taylor Hicks Will Not Be Appearing At The RNC!
BREAKING NEWS! Taylor will NOT be appearing at the Republican Convention this year according his people. Sorry for the false, heart stopping blog yesterday. It was traumatic for me to have to print that, but thank goodness it turned out to be a false alarm. Whew...!

I don't think it was necessary to add the "thank goodness" when announcing that Taylor isn't going to be at the Repubulican Convention. Making sure we all know you don't like Republicans and editorializing is so unnecessary and childish.
To the 'anon' that didn't like my "thank goodness' comment. Well since this is MY blog, anything that is written is necessary - each word was chosen very careful. :)

With all the fighting among Tay fans, the last thing he needs is for fans to take political sides with him in the middle. Imagine if he lost fans because they don't approve of either the red states or the blue states. Does he use Charmin or Cottonel? Tay never ever wipe your fans asses... Thanks for the pics, peace out.
The reason America's political system works is because of it's checks and balances. It takes both parties to keep each other in check. Neither party is evil both want a better America just haven't different views of how that will happen. I agree with the other anonymous reader that the "dig" was uneeded. I am married to a Democrat but am a Republican myself. We respect each other's opinions which makes for a beautiful friendship.
I could care less what party Taylor belongs to. It won't affect my decision to buy his music as long as he doesn't disrespect my choices. Why can't Taylor's music appeal to members of both parties?
I have enjoyed following your blog and conversing with you on the Boogie board. However, as you state this is your blog and since you feel that my beliefs are offensive, I will leave this site to you and continue to read elsewhere. Another Anonymous that USED to be a loyal reader.
It is always best to leave religion and politics out of discussion with strangers, and many do so even with friends, to be polite. By implying that there is something inferior about being a republican, you upset half of your readers.
To another "anon" poster (I love the anonimity of that) that doesn't like the political overtone of the blog entry and/or the Obama banner, feel free to do what your heart tells you. I certainly do. That's the beauty of the country - freedom of choice.
That said, some elections, like this one, are far too important to me to ignore - Taylor or no Taylor. I hope you find what you're looking for in Taylorland. I'm sure there's a lot of Republican blogs for you to feel more comfortable reading! No hard feelings, "anon", whoever you are.

I am a Republican and I'm not in the least bit bothered by your party of choice. If I were to stop coming here because of that, why, I'd be cutting off my nose to spite my face. LOL!

FYI - Tay's family is more likely to vote for Republican than Democrat. And from what I have heard he follows the family beliefs so to speak.
I read on MJ Big Blog (sorry Griz, I still go there) that she heard form a close source that he's a democrat. It's too bad this misinformation had to appear on the net. I just want more Taylor, red, blue or purple.

I always suspected Taylor as a Democrat, so I'm please to hear that.
Everybody is certainly entitled to their opinions about everything. That doesn't mean that we have to express every opinion we have. You have an interesting blog and I drop in occasionally. I made the first and only one comment about this topic. It seems like other people agree with me. It will definitely be an interesting race this fall. But, we all love Taylor!

How did we do with the EW sales last week. I don't see Taylor on the Billboard chart this week. What gives? Anybody??

That's what EW sold last week according to USA Today Idol Chatter. If fell short of hitting the Billboard 200. Is that the best we could do to support our "Idol".
Come on people, get to your local Target and show your love for Taylor for only $9.98. I know it's about more than record sales, but you know that the nay sayers will run with this to show what a failure Taylor is.
I love this site and all the SP's, but his career is not just about "cute pictures". He counts on us to "be there, be there, BE THERE"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
