This is Taylor *F* Hicks - Hold Onto Your Love - Live!!

Our fifth installment of Taylor Hicks original songs (as we await the release of his new CD "Early Works", which will be available at all Target stores on August 12, 2008), is "Hold Onto Your Love". As I was looking for a good copy of this song, I found that no straight song renditions are available online that I can see. Seems Taylor only does this song in combo with blues tags all meshed together. Let me tell you, this one from Cohasset, MA is one of the best performances by this bluesman I've ever seen. Just sit back and soak it all in, because it just doesn't get any better than this in a live musical setting - from *anyone*. Period.

I'll tell you my favorite version of this song. The one one from Whomp at the Warfield. It is definitely one of the major stand songs from that gig, as well as the great mix of "Heaven Knows" with "The Maze", "Heart And Soul", and "The Runaround" finale. Oh, and also the AMAZING cover of Clapton's "Badge". I mean OMG!

I've had WATW since last Oct. 7th (Tay's BD) and have seen at least 30-40 times. It totally rules and I want to see it in the stores sooon so that all the fans can have the same experience. That concert was a masterpiece and represents the Taylor we love so well. Someone please find out the release date for eveyones sake. And yes, I will definitely be buying numerous copies for friends and myself.
The WATW RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring it on!!!!!

I love me some blues. It was awesome watching the other members of the band getting into it also. The bass player Al, the drummer, Josh the guitar player, all of them.

I hope he is able to put this group of musicians back together for his next tour. If he can't I'm still sure he will have an awesome ensemble. He seems to have a knack for putting great musicians together.

Taylor Hicks "unleashed" presents an unbelieveable concert.

There are a couple of examples of performances that have been burned into my memory -- some I've seen in person and others I'm only acquainted with due to the videos -- but they are all STELLAR. Thanks for sharing this video, Griz -- I love to see Taylor go to his special music place.
