According to Kleiner Inc. Jake Davis will be in the windy city this week and next to shoot American Idol winner Taylor Hicks' new video for "What's Right Is Right." He will be directing the classic performance video in downtown Chicago. Jake says in his blog, "I'm directing a video for some other guy that won some kind of reality show or something... Alright let me kill the internet voice before I get in trouble. For real we're in Chicago and making a really classic video for American Idol winner Taylor Hicks. Inspiration to follow. It's going to be amazing... Taylor is a really great guy and the vibe is right..."

Lyrics to Taylor's New Single
"What's Right Is Right"

"When there’s joy inside your heart
I’ll share it.
When you’ve got a dream I say
reach for the sky.
And if you ever fall
I’ll catch you.
What’s wrong with you is wrong with me
And what’s right is right."

I saw this info last night. I love the sound of the new single. It sounds like the guy working with Taylor on the video is in to working with him. Did you notice he said we're making a classic video? Wow the Taylor momentum is starting to build. I wish he was coming closer to KC so I could get a Hicks fix before his cd tour.

I kind of got a Van Morrison vibe with this song. My son said Luther Vandross, but what does he know?

It looks like the Taylor haters are already gearing up to try and trash talk about him. The person also mentioned Taylor's "bat shit crazy fans" and some other stupid comments. Let's just get everyone to ignore all the stupid comments and not go writing lengthy answers to these stuped comments. Don't give them the time of day.

Sounds good, I still don't know what's wrong with being crazy.... What's Right is Right after all!!!!!!!!!!!

"Right' on anonymous!

This is all SO exciting.I'm looking forward to seeing Taylor's "1st "classic" video". I bet there'll be many more from "The Distance."

Make it do what it do, Taylor. We've got your back.
Full speed ahead!

It seems as though the more buzz Taylor gets and the more active the haters get trying to stifle it. I hate to say it, but they sort of succeeded with the first album, even the media gave Taylor all kinds of crap about how he was "idol's first failure" etc. Let's hope his music finally speaks for itself and that combined with better promotion will prove them wrong this time around. As a Taylor fan, nothing would make me happier than to see him get lots of positive recognition for "the distance".

Nicholas - that's so true. It's only like 1 or 2 people who feel the to crawl out of their hole, though. There's one troll who posts under a lot different names - on MJ's she's Glamor - she's also Bertha, DaughtryAreHot and a host of other names and spends her days trolling the different sites that haven't banned her yet and spews her venum. She's psychotic so I don't worry too much about her. Can't take the word of a lunatic when it comes to art ;)
