Does Taylor Hicks Dye His Hair?

Do you think Taylor dyes or puts darkening chemicals on his hair? If you look at these two pics, taken just a few weeks apart, the contrast is pretty amazing. It looks like his hair is a bit shorter in the first picture (or maybe it's just gelled up), and I know roots are darker, but it sure seems he did something to it. Could it be the lighting? I don't think so. What do you think?

My hair is a combination of medium blond and gray. When I use a styling product, it seems much darker than it is, especially in photographs. I think the gel in the first picture just makes his hair appear darker.

Yep, it's the gel. It makes your hair look alot darker. You can tell Taylor has no products in his hair at all in the second pic. At my Meet & Greet last spring (outdoors during the day) he didn't have anything in his hair and it was really silver. Either way, he's drop dead gorgeous.

I understand from the pictures why you pose the question but imo Taylor would never mess with his unique identity. After all, he still shouts out "Soul Patrol". He strikes me as not being the least bit vain or even consciously aware of his appearance. He dresses appropriately for the occassion and then forgets about it. How many times have I wanted to reach into the video and pull his shirt collar above his jacket collar??? lol

Yea, I think you guys are right - it's the gel that makes it look darker (and you can tell he used a LOT of gel in the first picture) - so much so that it even made it look shorter (but is probably the same length in both pics).

I love it either way! The man cannot take a bad picture if he tried.

I wonder how the campaign to get him in GQ is coming? haha! That would be a major snag, eh?

1st picture - packed the gel
2nd picture - forgot to pack the gel

Exactly! This is a no bullshit, no frills, "what you get is what you see", honest-too-goodness REAL MAN! We haven't seen this type of male performer come around in a LONG time. Definitely not a Justin Timberlake, Back Street Boy.

Just keeping it real - that's exactly why Taylor will be around for a long time.

However he wants to do his hair, is fine with me!
YUM!!!

Yep, I've had enough of the girlie boys that have permeated the airwaves - from Michael Jackson to Justin Timberlake.

Taylor is a man's man - a beer drinking, stogie smoking hunk who incidently has a heart of gold and gorgeous. A rare quality in today's crop of messed up celebs.

I think that's why he's SO appealing.

My hair is very close to Taylor's in color and the lighting makes a huge difference. My hair can look a range of colors in pictures of me at the same event. Somtimes what I'm wearing even makes a difference. Wow, are the SP bored or what - LOL !

I know sometimes his hair looks darker in spot. When I have been close to him in person his hair actually looks more silver to me than it does in pictures. I don't think he does die his hair but I can't be sure.

The second picture besides having no gel also has lighting from overhead. Remember on AI when he sang Just Once and they had a spot light directly on top of him how white his hair looked. I loved that song but he looked so uncomfortable because he didn't have time to really prepare for it.
