RIP George Carlin

"Comedian George Carlin, the Grammy-Award winning standup comedian and actor who was hailed for his irreverent social commentary, poignant observations of the absurdities of everyday life and language, and groundbreaking routines like "Seven Words You Can Never Use on Television," died in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to his publicist, Jeff Abraham. He was 71.

The cause of death was heart failure, according to Abraham."

This is truly a sad day folks. I just want to take a moment and give a tribute to a comedic genius - George Carlin. I've been a huge fan of his for many many years and I consider him one of the finest comedians ever to set foot on the stage. Truly one of the greats, a prolific comedian that was always good for a belly laugh. He was always on top of current events and his unique take on life's nuances and the human condition was always enlightening - and FUNNY! He was a master of the word and his insights will be sorely missed by many, especially me.

Here's a few of my favorite bits -

I am also saddened. A Place For My Stuff was one of my favorites of George Carlin's bits.
