Taylor Hicks - WZID Interview - 'Capitol Fourth' Promotion

Taylor was on WZID-FM in New Hampshire this morning promoting his appearance on "A Capitol Fourth" in Washington D.C. on July 4. Check your local PBS station for times and specific channel in your area. He will be singing at least 3 songs, one of which will be "Dancing In The Dark" by Bruce Springsteen (the same song he sang on the Top 3 show on American Idol), Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" and an original tune! Listen to the interview here (thanks cochem for finding this!):

While we wait, here's Taylor doing Dancing in the Dark on American Idol!

I can't wait to hear Taylor sing a full version of Dancing in the Dark! This was one of my most favorite performances by him on AI. The three performances by Taylor that night will never be repeated - God what awesome memories - Dancing in the Dark, You are So Beautiful, and Try a Little Tenderness. Man, I still get chills when I watch and listen to those performances!

Don't ya just love listening to the disc jockey speaking about the transition Taylor has made, and how natural it was for him to do that. I know that many many Americans will enjoy re-hearing Taylor sing a song he did on Idol, and then singing classic songs with musical legends. He belongs there, because he is already an Pop Culture Icon. He will bring smiles to faces and souls of many Americans.
Go For It Taylor!

I just watched the video of rehearsals, he sang Soulthing, and This Land. He sounded great, he got the rehearsal audience up on their feet.

The interview was good. The guy interviewing sounded like he likes Taylor, knows where he is coming from.

The show on the 4th is going to be such good exposure. Knock'em dead Taylor!!!!
